Pickpockets Sold Out!

Troupe Comique’s first two act silent comedy “Pickpockets” charmed audiences and saw great turnout. Closing night was a full house and we were forced to add more chairs. Tomorrow we meet with a director and smooth the show out a bit. Exciting!

Troupe Comique has been going strong since we formed late last year. I have had great fortune in finding dedicated and funny performers to fill out the troupe! I’ve had little time but I’m going to write more. Promise.

STIFF After Party: Weirdness with Dartanion London

I got invited to do a STIFF (Seattle’s True Independent Film Festival) after party at the Jewel Box with only a few hours notice last night. I pulled out some hair and sweat a few bullets to get something together worthy of the invite. Taking a little bit from several of my other acts I got something together that I was pretty happy with.

I got to the Jewel Box about 30 minutes before I went on so I had a little time to run bits of the routine, meet some of the other performers and relax. Relaxing didn’t really happen but the other performers there were awesome. I think they’d mostly all worked together before so I was the odd man out but I didn’t feel it at all. They were awesome.

I did the act to The Entertainer, had some absolutely wonderful audience interactions and got great responses. They played along with everything I threw at them. Not having much time to prepare really gave me an excuse to improvise which I think made the act. It was also the first staged performance I’ve done with an official Entertainer’s Badge!
